#29 Best Music Videos of 2010

Posted on March 15, 2011

Much to our surprise, a video shoot done by Columbus’ own Ohio Sessions (check them out) was ranked #29 in a web pole done by Out of the Blue online arts and music publication. With some further digging, we found out that a promotional video created by our friends at Palestra Music (and check them out here) was ranked #9 by them in 2009. Although that order of mention is clearly regress, let’s see if we can reverse things and make it to #1 in 2011. :-)
(I just smily-faced a news blog)

Is that your voice I hear?

If you are in the Columbus area, Jared and the band will be promoting local shows at venues all around their home city with some of their favorite local bands. We will be adding in most of the new Mixtape favorites to the set list to get them reading for recording in May. We would love to see anyone, anywhere, anytime. Come get your voice and face on some concert videos. Here is some footage of one of the best small club venues in the city, Rumba Cafe, taken by a friend of the band.

Spring Tour Madness

Posted on January 15, 2011

Coming this spring, Jared will be on the road performing at over 80 colleges (and counting) across the country! He is promoting the band and bringing some of the newest music to live concerts before getting into the studio in May. We all feel extremely blessed for all of these shows but he will need your constant encouragement while he’s on the road. Send him messages and let him know he’s not out there alone. Stay connected to the calendar and find out when he is coming close to you.

The end of Mixtape. . .or is it?

Posted on December 30, 2010

The end of the year has finally come. This brings holiday time with friends and family, taking a moment to catch our breath before we all hit the next year hard, and celebrating the close of The Mixtape Project. Or maybe not! Look for an email newsletter with the future plans of how we are getting closer to this new album with your help.

Have a safe New Year’s Eve and we will see you in 2011!
